Copy of “Heart of War” requested for library aboard USS New York

Talk about a great honor.

I was recently contacted again by John Churcher from Massachusetts. You may recall that John’s been who’s working to build a library for the newly commissioned USS New York.

The library John’s putting together started out with 9/11-related topics. That’s why he originally asked for copies of my book Tower Stories: An Oral History of 9/11. But the effort’s been such a colossal success that John’s now expanding the library’s scope to include books that explore the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. And of course Hear of War fits that bill pretty well.

Thanks for asking, John. It’s a pleasure to take part in such a worthwhile venture.
